Before heading to Breckenridge, it's crucial to note that 4WD or AWD vehicles are mandatory in winter due to snow and ice on all surfaces, including driveways and roadways. No refunds will be issued for improper vehicles. Additionally, being located near 10,000 feet, guests should be prepared for high alpine environment conditions throughout the year.
Colorado law mandates adherence to the traction law from September to May 31 each year for all drivers on I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero. Proper equipment such as four-wheel drive, all-wheel drive with snow-rated tires, or chains is required. Please ensure your vehicle meets these requirements to avoid any inconvenience.
